We bring together Outdoor and Healthcare professionals in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Enjoying the outdoors – staying safe

ABOUT US

First Aid in the outdoors

Outdoor Medicine New Zealand (OMNZ) is a non-profit, incorporated society. Bringing together all those who practice or have an interest in providing healthcare within challenging outdoors terrain, in Aotearoa – New Zealand. We welcome into our community everyone regardless of their medical and outdoors skills. OMNZ is a space for discussion, education, knowledge sharing and support.

In 2025 we rebranded from The New Zealand Society for Mountain Medicine (est 2020) with the intent to appeal to a broader group of outdoors people. Mountain medicine remains our largest following.
